-About Salamanca -

Salamanca, located in the autonomous community of Castilla y León, Spain, is renowned for its outstanding historical and cultural values and its rich academic tradition. One of Spain's oldest university towns, the University of Salamanca was founded in the thirteenth century and is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning in Europe, with a complex of buildings that embodies a rich history in a blend of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles.

The city center, Plaza de Salamanca, is the heart of local life and is surrounded by historic buildings of different styles in an elegant and vibrant atmosphere. In addition, Salamanca's cathedral complex, including the Old Cathedral and the New Cathedral, is rich in artistic value with its Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The warm golden hues of the city's stone, known as the “Golden City”, create a unique visual experience for visitors.

Salamanca is not only a treasure trove of culture and history, but also an important destination to visit in the interior of Spain, thanks to its student atmosphere and rich artistic program.
